Nelson F. Remel, 80 of Plainfield Township passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in The Gardens at Easton. Born on April 14, 1943 in Pen Argyl, he was the son of the late Floyd and Viola (Siegel) Remel. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in January of 2023. He was a dedicated farmer most of his life. In addition, he was employed as a mechanic and worked in quality control for several years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Wind Gap, and a founding member of the Blue Mountain Antique Gas and Steam Engine Association. Survivors: Nelson is survived by his sons, Michael Remel of Mt. Gretna, Stephen Remel and his partner Justin of Easton, 1 grandson Shawn Remel and his beloved dog, Towser. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, June 24th from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC, 202 West St., Wind Gap where the funeral service will begin at 11 am.
