Nevin (Charlie) Newhard, 82, formerly of Tatamy and Gracedale, passed away on May 11, 2020 at Easton Hospital.

Born December 21, 1937, he was a son of the late Paul Sr. and Lena Laubach Newhard.

He was employed at Newhard's General Hauling, Tatamy Hotel and Nazareth Concrete Products prior to retirement. Charlie was well known and loved by many. He resided with his sister Victoria Nolf, who lovingly cared for him the past 30 years.

Charlie was a lifetime member of the Tatamy Firehouse and a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his sister, Victoria Nolf of Tatamy; and brothers, Glenn Newhard of Florida and Paul Newhard Jr. of Nazareth; in addition to many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was predeceased by brothers, Gerald Newhard and Richard Newhard; and sisters, Doris Werkheiser, Betty Stocker, Roseabelle Shafer and Claire Fuls.

Private graveside services will be held at Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth.
