Olen L. "Olie" Trach, 84, of Wind Gap, passed away in the early morning hours of June 4, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Ethel Snyder Trach.  Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Olie was born September 17, 1931 in Nazareth.  He was a son of the late Lester Trach and Nora Altemose Trach Miller and step son of the late William H. Miller Sr.

He was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1949 and later served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Olie was employed as a maintenance repairman for Met-Ed, retiring after 32 years of service.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing quoits with several leagues in Bangor as well as riding his BMW motorcycle.

He was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Wind Gap and Pen Argyl Lodge # 594, F & A M.

Along with his wife Ethel, Olie is survived by his daughter Susan Trach of Wind Gap, brother Jan Trach and his wife Suzie of Locust Grove, VA and many nieces and nephews.

His son Todd Trach and brother Jeffrey Trach died earlier.

A private service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St. Wind Gap.
