Paul D. Bartholomew Jr., 64, of Nazareth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, May 6, 2023, in his home. Born November 18, 1958, h e was a son of the late Paul D. Sr. and Elizabeth M. (White) Bartholomew.

Paul was a graduate of Nazareth High School, class of 1976 and attended the Career Institute of Technology. He was employed as a foreman for Cera-Met Metal Fabricators in Bethlehem and later worked for East Penn Sanitation. He enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR, WWE and the Three Stooges and listening to the Beatles and rock and roll.

He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Tatamy, the American Legion and the Nazareth Jacksonian Club where he was a member of the pool league.

Paul is survived by 2 daughters; Jennifer McDonald and her fiancée Jason Newell, and Jessica Beitler; grandchildren Zackery Bartholomew, Harley McDonald, Guage Tuma, Leelah and Nicholas Beitler; and great grandchildren Ezra Bartholomew and Quinn Tuma as well as 1 brother George Bartholomew and his wife Jan, and 1 sister Marie Scott and her husband Curtis.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, May 10 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home PC., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. A private burial will take place at Forks Cemetery.
