Paul R. Haldeman, Sr., 87, of Plainfield Township, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 in St. Luke's VNA Hospice House. BORN: July 18, 1926, in Chester County, he was a daughter of the late Stager and Mary McAfee Haldeman. He was the husband of Dorothy Smedley Haldeman who died August 25, 2012. PERSONAL: Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was an operator for Columbia Gas for over 40 years. MEMBERSHIPS: He was a 32nd degree mason with Mt. Pickering Lodge #446, a member of Reading Consistory and a member of the Rajah Temple Shrine. SURVIVORS: Paul is survived by three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Haldeman, Angela Brandon and Lacy Medina; and one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Haldeman. In addition to his wife Dorothy and his parents, Paul was predeceased by, one daughter, Sharon Haldeman; one son, Paul R. "Bud" Haldeman, Jr.; two brothers, Edgar and Robert Haldeman; and two sisters, Doris Frame and Ruth Guest. SERVICES: Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
