Paul C. Temos, 92, of Plainfield Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 24, 2023 in St Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton. Born on September 3, 1931, in Bath, to the late Jacob and Hattie (Snyder) Temos, Paul was the loving husband of Jean (Grube) Temos with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, as well as a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
Paul was a dedicated employee of the Lone Star Cement Company and the National Portland Cement Company where he worked as a burner until retirement.
He proudly served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. After the war, Paul's sense of duty carried into community involvement. He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign War, was an active member of the American Legion and the Wind Gap Volunteer Fire Company, and was a long-standing, active member of the Plainfield Township Volunteer Fire Company, where he ran the ambulance corps and the Thursday night Bingo crew. His participation with these organizations demonstrated his unwavering commitment to service.
Paul is remembered fondly and dearly missed by his family: his devoted wife Jean and daughters, Kerri Tollinger (Bryan) of Plainfield Township and Karen Correll of Anderson, South Carolina. Paul was also blessed with grandchildren, Hannah and Robert Tollinger, Jacob Correll, Christy (Grube) Faust, Rachel (Grube) Sherman and Adam Grube; twelve great grandchildren; and sisters, Phyllis Hyndshaw of Nazareth and Ruth Boyko of Lower Nazareth. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy Grube; brothers Lee, Frank, Rich, Bill, David, Jake, and sisters Betty Koch and Grace.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, November 30, from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial will be in Wind Gap Cemetery.
