Pauletta A. "Pat" Meixsell, 64, of Lower Nazareth Twp, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at home. She was the beloved wife of James M. Meixsell; together they shared 41 years of marriage. Born on October 26, 1950 in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Curtis H. Brobst, Sr. and the late Pauline I. Hordendorf Brobst. Pat graduated from Nazareth High School and worked for many years at Nazareth Furniture. She later worked in the Human Resources Office for the County of Northampton for more than 25 years from where she recently retired. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Pat was an animal lover having raised three dogs: Snoopy, Spunky and most recently Precious. She and her son, Jason, enjoyed traveling together and were frequent visitors to Disney World. Pat was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nazareth, where she was on the Cradle Roll as a child and previously served as a Sunday School teacher and Recording Secretary for the Church Council. In addition to her husband, Jim, Pat is survived by her loving son, Jason J. Meixsell. Also surviving are her brothers, Curtis H. Brobst, Jr. and his wife, Virginia, and William Brobst; her sister, Loretta Brobst; a nephew, Christopher Weiss; and a niece, Tara Weiss. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, August 27, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. A funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Ruggles presiding. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Hecktown.
