Pauline A. Thompson, 82, of Pen Argyl, Washington Twp., passed away Sunday August 23, 2015 in St. Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem. Born August 11, 1933, in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Paul Schaffer and Miriam Florey Schaffer. Pauline was a seamstress and over the years worked at various garment mills in the area, spending many years employed at Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap. Pauline is survived by her two sons, Stephen Thompson and his wife Elena Luginina, and Brian Thompson. Also surviving are two brothers, Richard Schaffer and Raymond Schaffer; a sister, Betty Schaffer; and three grandchildren, Chad, Heather and Shane. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Wessman and Dorothy Pysher. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service which will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 11:00 am, at the Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, with the Rev. Scott Davis officiating. There will be no calling hours.
