Richard A. Serfass' Obituary
Richard A. Serfass, age 69, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 12:52 p.m. He was born March 26, 1948, in Nazareth, where he lived
his entire life until his death on Monday.
Richard was a well-respected member of his community. Along with starting his own general contracting business in 1972, and continuing his success by partnering with his son Dean many years ago, Richard also served as president of the Nazareth Area Contractors Association in the early 80's. He was currently on the Board of Directors of the Northampton County Federation of Sportsmen's Club, along with the Board of Directors of the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trips to Ontario.
Richard is survived by daughter, Beverly Garr and her husband Corey Garr; daughter, Christine Wickett and her boyfriend Bill Kindt; and by his son, Dean Serfass and girlfriend Alicia Aita. He was also grandfather to Jamie, Dylan, Katelyn, Kylee, Natalie and Ryan. He was predeceased by a son, Allen L. Serfass.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 8, at 2pm in Forks Cemetery, Sullivan Trail, Stockertown. There are no calling hours prior to the service.
