Richard A. Teel, 68, of Palmer Township, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, January 20, 2013 in his home. BORN: Born March 15, 1944 in Belfast, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Anna Flick Teel. Richard and his wife, the former Sandra Brown, celebrated 44 years of marriage last June. PERSONAL: He was a graduate of Nazareth High School, class of 1963. Richard worked as a mechanic for Schwerman Trucking Co. and Silfies Trucking Co., retiring after 30 years of service. MEMBERSHIPS: He was a life member of the Vigilance Hose Fire Co., the East Lawn Fire Co. and the VFW all of Nazareth as well as the National Rifle Association. An avid bowler, Richard bowled in leagues at Blue Valley Lanes, in Wind Gap, for many years. SURVIVORS: Along with his wife Sandy, he will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Judith Moore and her companion William Fitzgibbons of Wilson Boro; three nieces, Tina Sterner, Sue Hunsicker and Stacy Schlegel and one nephew, Michael Laubach; and great nieces and great nephews SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday in the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C., 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, PA 18064. Relatives and friends are invited to call 10:00 am till time of service. Burial will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
