Robert J. Hill Sr, 85, of Bangor, passed away peacefully at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Robert was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War on the USS Holder. He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic before retiring. He loved to ride motorcycle, camping in his motor home, and playing cards. He also enjoyed playing golf with family and friends.

Robert is survived by brothers, George Hill Jr. and Harold Hill; sisters, Evelyn Stocker, Dorothy Lobb and Dolores Bayless; niece and care giver, Susan Lobb; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Betty Hill; and brother, Walter Hill Sr.

There will be no funeral services. A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to a veteran's organization of one's choice.
