Ronald F. Eichman, 82, of Whitehall, went to be with his Lord and predeceased loved ones on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Easton on May 22, 1943, Ron was a son of the late Alfred and Bernetta (Fox) Eichman. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Trinkley) Eichman with whom he shared 56 years of marriage prior to her passing on March 21st, 2021.
Ron spent his youth growing up in Easton and was a proud graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1961. He was employed by PPL for 42 years until retirement, in 2010, as a Distribution Engineer.
A long standing and devoted member of St. John's UCC, Fullerton he remained active volunteering for several committees and serving as both an Elder and Deacon. Ron was also a member and past secretary of the PPL Retirees group.
Earlier in his life, he enjoyed outdoor adventures including camping. He also took great pleasure in traveling with his wife Nancy and family members on cruises. In recent years, the study of genealogy piqued his interest. The importance of family was always paramount to Ron, and through the years, he especially loved to dote on his grandchildren.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his daughter Christine, wife of Donald Leifer of Spring Mount; and sons, Timothy, husband of Kathi (DiClemente) Eichman of Whitehall, and Jeffery and his fiancée Linda Cooper of S. Whitehall; grandchildren, Rachel Eichman, Tess Eichman, Nathan Leifer, Rob Leifer, Victoria (Leifer) Roman, Caitlin Cooper, and Zachary Cooper; 8 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews who lovingly called him "Uncle Ronnie." In addition to his parents and wife Nancy, he was predeceased by granddaughter Jillian Eichman; 2 brothers, Robert Eichman and Allen Eichman; and sister, Judith Seem.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, September 21, from12-2 pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St. Nazareth. A graveside service, with Rev. Steven Davis presiding, will be held at noon on Monday, September 22, in Forks Cemetery, 4500 Sullivan Trail, Stockertown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronald's name may be offered to St. John's UCC, Fullerton, 575 Grape St., Whitehall, PA 18052.
