Russell P. Hahn, 77, of Plainfield Township, died peacefully Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, Palmer Township, surrounded by his loving family. BORN: Russell was born July 10, 1935 in Plainfield Township. He was a son of the late Phillip and Irene Mackes Hahn. PERSONAL: He was the husband of Naomi A. Ackerman Hahn. Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage last August. Russell worked on his family's dairy farm. Later he was employed by Harvel Plastics in Forks Township until retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and attending car shows. MEMBERSHIPS: He was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Wind Gap. SURVIVORS: In addition to his loving wife Naomi, Russell is survived by two sons, Brian and Steven, both of Palmer Township; one brother, Robert Hahn and his wife Judy of Wind Gap; and one sister, Carol Rinehart and her husband Leroy of Stockertown. He was predeceased by one brother, Verne Hahn. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am in Hope United Church of Christ, 701 Cherry St., Wind Gap. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 - 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will follow in Plainfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home P.C., 202 West St., Wind Gap.
