Ruth Ann Vough, 81, of Pen Argyl, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at New Eastwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Easton. She was the wife of Gary W. Vough. Born June 24, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Beulah (Teeo) Houck.

Ruth Ann worked for 19 years at a blouse mill in Pen Argyl before beginning a long career at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, where she served for more than 25 years as a nurse’s aide and activities coordinator. Through her compassion, kindness, and dedication, she touched the lives of countless residents and coworkers. Ruth Ann was also a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Plainfield Township, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

Surviving with her husband is her son, David Werkheiser, wife Anna of Kunkletown; grandchildren, Anthony and Adam; and a great granddaughter, Penelope.

Friends and family are invited to call from 10:00-11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 1st at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church - Plainfield, 1422 Church Rd., Pen Argyl, PA 18072 with funeral services starting at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to the church.
