Sadie R. Scott, 98, of Tatamy, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, early Sunday morning, April 28, 2019. She was the wife of George C. Scott Sr. who passed away September 8, 1984.

Born July 16, 1920, on the family farm in Bushkill Township, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Eva Davidson Smith.
Sadie worked in the Hoisery Mill in Washington Township, NJ before retiring.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Tatamy and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Tatamy Fire Co., East Lawn Fire Co., Hecktown Fire Co. and the Nazareth Vigilance Hose Fire Co.

Sadie enjoyed bingo and bus trips to Atlantic City, working in her yard and tending her flower garden as well as crocheting and square dancing. She was also known as an excellent cook and baker.

She is survived by her only child; son George C. Scott Jr. and his wife Lois; granddaughters Tammy Bacak and her husband Steve and Jennifer Scott, her great granddaughter Kayla and her brother Russell Smith.Sadie is predeceased by sisters; Florence Chabon, Berdie Able, Hilda Boyer and Marion Werner and brothers; Walter Smith, Harold Smith, Wilbert Smith, Clayton Smith and Lester Smith.
At Sadie's request, services and burial will be private.
