Shirley J. Cooper, 78, of Easton, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Easton Hospital. Born January 19, 1937 in Palmer Twp, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie (Cruver) Cooper. Shirley graduated from Easton High School in 1954. She worked as a Packer and Shipper for Country Miss for more than 30 years, retiring in 2002. She loved children, animals and being an active member of her Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Easton. Shirley is survived by two brothers, Carl Cooper (Hilda) and Leroy Cooper; two sisters, Lois Supers (Charles) and Joan Focht (Francis); and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church of Easton, 333 Spring Garden Street, Easton, PA, 18042. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with the Rev. Cynthia Simmons presiding. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Shirley's name may be made to the Easton Public Library, Children's Programming, 515 Church Street, Easton, PA, 18042, or to First Presbyterian Church of Easton at the above address.
