Shirley A. Houser, 79, of Forks Township, formerly of Wind Gap, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Blough Healthcare Center in Bethlehem.  She was the beloved wife of Elwood Houser.

Born on May 23, 1936 in Plainfield Township, Shirley was a daughter of Russell and Mildred Miller Gum.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Marina and her husband Tony, several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, and a sister.  Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Brian Houser.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family and were under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Wind Gap.  Burial took place in the Plainfield Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
