Sterling Edward Young, 92 years old, went home to our Lord, October 3, 2024.

Born in Belfast, April 5, 1932, Sterling was one of seven children. He was last surviving child born to the late Francis and Florence Young.

In later years, he met Gloria Smith of Belfast, with whom he shared 72 years of marriage.  Shortly thereafter, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, during peace time in 1953. He was discharged with honorable service.

Sterling operated an excavating and welding business located in Belfast, Pennsylvania for many years. He ended his career as a steel fabrication shipping supervisor, retiring at age of 64. He lived out his life in Belfast with his wife, Gloria.

Woodworking was his passionate hobby along with helping family members with home projects throughout the years. He was happy to spend time and enjoy his family while meeting new people along the way.

Surviving family includes his two sons; Ronald Young and his wife Jami, along with Rodney Young and his wife, Fran; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

At Sterling's request there will be no services.
