Steven E. Werkheiser, 49, of Nazareth, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Born January 29, 1969 in Easton, he was a son of Maryellen Smith Werkheiser of Nazareth and the late Stanley E. "Ike" Werkheiser.

Steven graduated from Nazareth High School in 1987. He attended West Chester University, and was a graduate of Muhlenberg College. He also attended the University of Illinois, working toward his Masters' Degree in Library Sciences. Steven enjoyed a varied and extensive career in pharmaceutical. His job took him to numerous countries around the world where he made friendships that continued throughout his lifetime. He was a lover of the arts and architecture, and enjoyed movies, reading, museums, and science. Steven held a special place in his heart for his three nephews, and would often include them in his travels through email communication.

In addition to his mother Maryellen, Steven is survived by sisters, Annette Jennings and husband Michael, and Debra Thompson and husband Patrick, all of Nazareth; nephews, Christopher, Kyle and Marshall; and aunts and uncles.

Friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10-11 am in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. A memorial service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home.
