Obituary

Thomas DeVito, 91, of Quakertown, passed away on December 10, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. Born in Pen Argyl, he was the son of Anthony and Alice (Gigliotti) DeVito.

Tom was a 1947 graduate of Pen Argyl High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was an entrepreneur of several businesses; Tom's Restaurant and DeVito's Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge, both in Easton, and The Country Kitchen in Hellertown. His most recent employment was at Captain Bob's in Quakertown.

He was an accomplished organist/pianist playing for St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Bangor and St. George's Episcopal Church in Hellertown as well as various venues throughout the years. Additionally, he enjoyed travel, theater, and performing vocally. He also became an avid painter during retirement.

Tom is survived by his two daughters, Kathy DeVito of Nazareth, and Karen Neas and her husband Steve of Kutztown. Tom cherished his two grandchildren, Lori Matta, wife of John of Boardman, Ohio, and Michael Reighn, husband of Leah of Bath, Pennsylvania. His greatest joy was his five great grandchildren, Joey Graffin, Liliana Matta, Kara Reighn, Joshua Matta, and Evan Reighn.  He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Castellucci, of Bangor. He was predeceased by sisters, Delorma Stright and Angie Fox; and brother, Anthony.

Services will be held privately by the family.
