Thomas R. "Tom" Davis,72, of Saylorsburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 29, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital, Monroe Campus. Born in East Stroudsburg, February 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Robert and Viloa Lockard Davis. He was the beloved husband of the former Monica Gogel, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.

Tom grew up in Wind Gap and was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School. Prior to retirement, he was employed at various companies including Suprador, USP, IU#20 and Jennings Transportation. He was a maintenance mechanic who was quite handy fixing things or lending a hand to those in need. Tom enjoyed the comfort and solitude of his home, and being surrounded by his pets, Golden Retriever April, and cats, Mittens and Sophie. He liked being outdoors tending his vegetable garden, being in the woods hunting, surf fishing at the shore or trolling in his fishing boat (hoping to catch the next big one). Tom was an avid sportsman, and for many years, he was a member of the Kunkletown Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife Monica, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his sister Patty Ann Meixsell of Bushkill Township; sister-in-law, Judy Csilinko and her partner Jamie Fey of Plainfield Township; and nephew, Jacob Csilinko and his fiancé, Jessie and her son Jordan.

A viewing will be held, Friday morning, April 5, from 10-11 am at Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap, PA 18091. A funeral Service, with Rev. Dr. Dean D. Frey officiating, will follow in the funeral home at 11am. Tom will be laid to rest in Wind Gap Cemetery.
