Velma Maggie (Rice) Kemmerer joined her beloved husband, Floyd, on June 20, 2021. She had a long, loving life of 97 years and 8 months.

She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd; her brother, Vernon Rice; and her sister, Virginia Moore.

Velma will be missed by her son, Craig Kemmerer (Patty); her daughter, Lorna Overholt (Warren); and her four grandchildren, Steven Overholt, Kimberly Tsihlis (Peter), Bryce Kemmerer (Nora) and Alyssa Smith (David). She will also be remembered by her four great-grandchildren, George & Maria Tsihlis, and Adalyn and Olivia Smith; sister, Victoria Nelson; sister-in-law, Virginia Rice; and nephew, James Rice (Donna Tibbitts).

In a family graveside service, Floyd and Velma were laid to rest together on what would have been their 75th wedding anniversary, June 29th.

Arrangements were under the care of the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap.
