Victor L.
Peckenschneider
Jun 6, 1936 — Dec 28, 2023
Nazareth
Victor L. Peckenschneider passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 28, 2023. Victor was the husband of Naomi Peckenschneider, son of Victor and Caroline Peckenschneider, brother of Joy Salinas and Fayne Lipinski, all who pre-deceased him. He was born in Davenport, Iowa and spent his childhood in Iowa, California, and Long Island, New York. After graduating from High School, he joined the Air Force. He was stationed near Dundalk, Maryland where he met Naomi, the love of his life. Together, they raised a family and spent their married life having many adventures. They lived on Long Island, Idaho, upstate New York, and finally in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. They traveled extensively, enjoying camping as well as many cruises and trips to Europe and the Holy Land.
Victor worked for Grumman his entire career. He was involved in the space program, working on the Lunar Module that landed on the moon. Later, he worked as a technical writer for jets used by the air force.
Wherever he lived, Victor became involved at the local Lutheran Church, taking on many volunteer positions. The church was always a central part of Victor and Naomi's lives. Victor had a passion for living and always had a smile and a witty comment or story for everyone he met.
His family was the joy of his life, and he is survived by his children Gail Price, Karen Gil, Michael Peckenschneider, and their spouses, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Easton on Monday, January 15. Doors will open at 9:00 am for a time of gathering and remembering with a service at 10:00 and a luncheon afterwards.
Memorial gifts can be made in Victor's name to Faith Lutheran Church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Easton, PA 18040 or to Moravian Hall Square "Morningstar Living Foundation", 175 North St., Nazareth, PA 18064.
