Walter E. Lengel, 81, of Ross Twp, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in St. Luke's Anderson Campus. He was the beloved husband of Bernadette Peters Lengel.

Born March 2, 1938 in Oceanside, NY, he was a son of the late Carl and Hazel Deputy Lengel.

Walter was employed as a salesman in the tire industry.

In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his children, Cindy Pado and Carl Lengel; stepchildren, John, Daniel and Kerry McCarthy; sister, Lillian Bruzzo; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his sister, Hazel Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, September 22 from 3-5 pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 202 West St., Wind Gap. On Tuesday, September 24, there will be a viewing from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm in the Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, 34 Hempstead Ave., Lynbrook, NY.
