Warren Ray "Buster" Steinmetz, 75, of Stockertown, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus. He was the loving husband of Patricia Clauser Steinmetz, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. Born December 28, 1941, in Wilson Boro, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Hopper Steinmetz.
Warren attended Bangor High School. He worked in the Distribution Dept. of Crayola, formerly Binney and Smith, where he was a member of the 25 Year Club, and from where he retired after 29 years of service. He participated in Civil War Living Histories and was an active member of Historical Impressions of America, Inc.
In addition to his wife, Warren is survived by three sons, Scott and his wife Melinda, Sean, and Ray and his wife Kelly. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Alexandria, Eric, Emma and Harrison; a brother, Harold "Pike" Steinmetz and his wife Dorothy; a sister, Lillian Williams and her husband Dennis, and his former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Steinmetz. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 9 sisters, Cora, Olive, Dorothy, Shirley, Beverly, Margaret, Judy, Sharon and Blanche, and 5 brothers, Charles, Dale, Willis, Quintus and Paul.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 11, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bob Gutekunst officiating. Burial will follow in Forks Cemetery.
