Wayne David Jung Sr., passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Wayne was born on August 22, 1956 to the late Gerald and Nancy Jung. He has two sons; Wayne Jr and Brock and 4 grandchildren. Wayne Jr and his wife Megan have 3 children; Landon (10), Tristin (8) and Sophia (5). Brock has a daughter Mia who just turned 1 year old in April. Brock and Mia lived with Wayne; when he had his heart transplant a few months ago, one of his biggest motivations was coming home to be with Mia. His brother Michael Jung and his wife Judy have two sons Bryan and Andrew. His brother Mark Jung has a daughter Alyssa.

Wayne started his career with Imperial Countertops in Allentown. Even after moving on to the PA Department of Transportation, he continued to assist them with fabrication as needed. He retired from PennDot with over 30 years of service. Not long after retiring he moved to Lake Wallenpaupack where he could enjoy the outdoors. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed whitetail deer hunting with family in Mountain Top, PA. He also enjoyed golfing and playing softball, but his favorite outdoor activity was fishing. He loved fishing in the Thousand Islands in Canada, as well as local rivers and lakes from Allentown to Lake Wallenpaupack.

To honor Wayne's wishes, a memorial picnic is being planned for August. He simply wanted family and friends to come together to celebrate his life.
