Wayne C. Zellner, son of the late Elmer and Gladys Zellner, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Wayne lived a life defined by devotion, service, and an unwavering willingness to help anyone who needed him.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Patricia Zellner, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage in Emmaus. He leaves behind his daughters Janet Sheats (David) of Lehigh Township and Patricia McDonald (Terry) of Electra, TX; sons, Michael Lightner (Carrie) and Jeffrey Lightner (Tracey); and his sister Alberta Marshall (Jim). Wayne was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlene Caravetta Zellner, and his daughter Karen Walck.

Wayne served our country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, proudly working as a radio man. His service was a point of deep pride, and he carried that sense of duty throughout his life.

Wayne’s greatest joys were simple and heartfelt: time spent with his family, watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow, and sharing in their accomplishments. He loved fishing, racing, the Jolly Joe Timber Show, and camping. He will be remembered fondly as the man who could fix anything—always ready with a tool, a solution, and a smile.

Wayne’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 6th at the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, 4188 Lehigh Dr., Cherryville, PA 18035.
