Wilbur F. "Jim" Simons, 89, of Lower Nazareth, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at St. Lukes Hospital, Anderson Campus. He was the beloved husband of the late Victoria Simons, who passed away in 2002. BORN: The youngest of thirteen children, Jim was born May 17, 1925 in Freemansburg, the son of the late Franklin and Estelle Simons. PERSONAL: A member of the 40 Year Club, Jim worked for Binney & Smith (now Crayola) as a Shipping Supervisor. After his retirement he served as a tour guide for Binney & Smith. Jim loved riding his bike and reading his Bible, and took great pride in keeping his car neat and clean. MEMBERSHIPS: He was a member of Dryland United Church of Christ in Hecktown, where he formerly served as an Elder and was a member of the Consistory. SURVIVORS: Jim is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Sonny Laubach of Lower Nazareth. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Stacy Zabroski of Nesquehoning and Dawn Werkheiser (Sam) of Upper Nazareth; five great grandchildren, Brandon Werkheiser, Sarah, Richard, Zachary and Adam Zabroski; and a nephew, Donald Johnson. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 11 brothers and a sister. SERVICES: Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Dryland United Church of Christ, 4415 Newburg Road, Nazareth, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with the Rev. David Quinn presiding. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
