Willard E. Weaver, 93, formerly of Plainfield Twp, passed away early Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Alexandria Manor in Nazareth. He was the husband of the late Gladys Zipf Weaver, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage at the time of her passing in September, 2003. Born July 1, 1923 in Wind Gap, he was the son of the late Rose Weaver.

A member of the U.S. Army, Willard honorably served his country during WWII and Korea. Prior to retiring, he worked as a machinist for Speck Plastics in Belfast. He had a great love for gardening.

Willard is survived by his son, Allen Weaver of Wind Gap, and three daughters, Donna Hardy of Easton, Barbara Marks and her husband Donald of Plainfield Twp., and Susan Smith and her husband Larry of Clarksville, TN. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Christine Nace and her husband Kevin, and Edward Shaffer, and two great-grandchildren, Jullian and Dustin.

Private graveside services with the family will be held at Belfast Union Cemetery, Nazareth, PA. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Wind Gap.
