William F. Mertz, Jr., 77, of Kresgeville, Polk Twp, passed away in his home on April 6, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Maliszewski) Mertz. Born on September 18, 1937, in Nazareth, Bill was the son of the late William F. and Anna (Kaiser) Mertz. In addition to his loving wife, Elizabeth, Bill is survived by his beloved children, Patrick, Courtney, Remy, Charles and Jessie. Also surviving are six grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, April 9, in the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere Street, Nazareth. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am.
