Jane A. Follweiler, a lifelong resident of Nazareth, is a Pennsylvania-licensed funeral director and the owner of Schmidt Funeral Homes of Nazareth and Wind Gap. She attended Notre Dame High School Green Pond, East Stroudsburg University and Northampton County Community College majoring in Funeral Service education. In addition to owning the funeral homes, she presently supervises the Wind Gap Funeral Home and also works with the staff at the Nazareth Funeral Home. Her current memberships include the National Funeral Directors Association, the Eastern Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce, where she is a board member. Jane was a former board member and trustee of the Nazareth Area Blue Eagle Foundation, and served on the board and as president of Nazareth Area Kiwanis Club.

Patricia A. Werner MBA, F.D., CFSP, CCO
Originally from Palmer Township, Patti graduated from Easton High School, and Elizabethtown College with a B.S. Degree. Directly following college, she worked for B.A.S.F. Corp. in Cleveland, OH and Belvidere, NJ in various capacities, including Laboratory Formulator and Technical Manager, culminating a 26-year career.
Overlapping those years, Patti began serving with the Schmidt Funeral Home in 1998. Subsequently, she pursued Funeral Service Education and graduated with honors from Northampton Community College, with an A.A.S. Degree in Funeral Service, May 2007. After successful completion of National and State Board Examinations, she attained licensure as a Funeral Director in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2008 she became co-owner of Schmidt Funeral Homes, PC.
In January of 2011 she was invited by one of her mentors to instruct for the Funeral Service Program at Northampton Community College. Soon thereafter, from 2012-2013, she served as an Interim Program Director and after receiving tenure, became an Assistant Professor at her alma mater until retirement in 2023.
Patti has served as a general member, board member, and past President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. In her ongoing pursuit of continuing education, she attends several professional seminars and conferences each year and has become a Certified Crematory Operator.
Additionally, in 2016, she earned an MBA from DeSales University, graduating with honors. And in 2018, she was awarded the distinction of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. This CFSP designation is the highest professional designation you can achieve in funeral service.
Patti continues to serve the community through her work at the Schmidt Funeral Home, P.C. demonstrating a “strong respect for tradition and yet, also recognizing the value of ongoing change within our profession.”

Timothy Reigle

In 2025, he served as President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, reflecting his dedication to the profession and his peers.
Tim lives in Center Valley with his wife, Ashley, and two daughters. He is actively involved in his church, Foundation Reformed Church in Coopersburg, where he leads worship and plays on the praise team each Sunday. He is also a past Worshipful Master of Saucon Lodge No. 469 F. & A.M., Coopersburg, where he continues to serve in Masonic leadership.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys playing guitar as well as several other instruments, and plays in a local rock band. He loves studying American history, especially the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln, and passionately cheers on his beloved Chicago sports teams.

Cindy Schlamp
Office Manager
Cindy is a 1975 graduate of Nazareth High School. Early in her career, she discovered a passion for finance while working for a local bank. She later attended Northampton Community College, where she focused on accounting coursework and continued developing her knowledge in the financial field. Her education and natural aptitude for numbers led to a long and successful career.
She went on to spend more than 17 years at C.F. Martin & Co., where she advanced to the role of Accounting and Finance Manager. In that position, Cindy was respected for her reliability, and attention to detail. She approached her work with professionalism and care, and she earned the trust of those around her through years of dedicated service.
Later in her career, she joined Schmidt Funeral Home, as part of the office staff. She retired in June 2023 before returning part-time in January 2025. Cindy is known for her genuine kindness shown to others. In her role at the funeral home, Cindy is considered a valuable member of our team and most often she is the person you may speak with when calling into our office.
Cindy is a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Belfast and a former member of St. John's UCC in Nazareth.
Together with her husband, Kevin, she makes her home in Upper Nazareth Township. They have a son Michael, and three grandsons, Trey, Brock, and Kayson. Her family is the center of her world, and she finds great joy in spending time with them and being present in their lives.
Outside of work and family responsibilities, Cindy enjoys staying active and values the simple pleasures of everyday life. She loves reading and settling in with a good book, and she finds peace and happiness in relaxing at their home near Lake Wallenpaupack.

Bill Hontz is a life-time resident of Nazareth. A proud graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1973, he was a formidable presence on the football field, demonstrating both sportsmanship and skill. His love for the game extended well beyond his high school years, as he went on to coach the Upper Nazareth Clippers for 14 years, inspiring young athletes with his leadership and fostering a spirit of teamwork.
For three decades, Bill was the familiar and friendly face that greeted customers at the Nazareth Furniture Store. As the store manager, he was known for his exceptional service, his ability to remember names and stories, and his knack for making every visitor feel welcome.
Krista (Hoch) Hontz, also a lifelong Nazareth native and a fellow graduate of Nazareth High School. After graduating from Nazareth High School in 1977, Krista's passion for knowledge and her desire to inspire young minds led her to Lebanon Valley College, where she earned her degree in education in 1981. Her commitment to learning was evident in her 36-year tenure with the Nazareth Area School District, where she shaped the lives of countless students with her wisdom, patience, and kindness.
Both Bill and Krista share an adventurous spirit. They enjoy bike riding and staying active. Together they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

Throughout his career, he became well known to generations of local families and developed lasting relationships throughout the Nazareth community.
Bob is a member of Holy Family Parish in Nazareth. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid hunter, with archery season being a particular favorite. He also enjoys getting away to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
As a Funeral Assistant at Schmidt Funeral Home, Bob brings the same dependability and willingness to help others that have characterized his many years serving the Nazareth community.
